The day was perfect and the harpist was excellent! Thank you, Denis & Karen
Thank you ever so much for the lovely, and greatly complimented, music you performed for our civil partnership. You provided exactly what we had hoped for and made our ceremony so memorable. We regret that we did not get a chance to speak to you but hope that you enjoyed the service. Best Wishes!
We have just got back from honeymoon and I thought I would drop you a quick email to say a very big thank you for your playing on our wedding day. I am very sorry that I didn't get to see and chat to you more, but from what I heard and what people have told me, Ross, myself and relatives where very very impressed. Once again a very big thank you!
Dear Koser, Thank you, we had a wonderful three days at the hotel. Everything went very well! Euphoria is a very pleasant lady and her music was superb and appropriate for the occasion. All our guests enjoyed listening and Euphoria was happy to talk to them as well.
Euphoria studied the Concert and celtic harp at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with Sanchia Pielou, a founder member and principal harpist with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra for fifty years and regarded as the “doyen” of the harp in Scotland.
After winning the subject prize for harp and earning a glowing report in the Governors’ Recital Competition, Euphoria graduated in 1984 with a BA in Music Performance. From her highly acclaimed performances of Mozart’s Concerto for flute and harp, A Ceremony of Carols, (Britten’s solo harp and choral work), and programmes of Opera with the RSAMD’s drama department, Euphoria went on to perform Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro for harp , flute, clarinet and string quartet. This was immediately followed by an invitation from Scottish Ballet to join the orchestra as principal harpist in 1985.
Euphoria is based in Worcestershire but is frequently asked to attend events around the UK with her beautiful concert harp (made by Salvi of Italy in 1987, from mahogany), performing Wedding music, celebratory music, music for naming ceremonies, Christmas music, Scottish Music, Irish Music, Welsh Music and Funeral Music. Known as 'the instrument of the gods' there is little to match the ethereal beauty of the harp. It has the power to captivate and enchant any audience without being intrusive. This makes it the perfect choice to transform any event into an elegant and unforgettable experience. Euphoria’s celtic harp was made by Dr Ian Firth, Professor of Physics and Acoustics at St. Andrew’s University, from maple.
