Cordicelle are a team of four professional musicians who have trained at top UK conservatories. In 2002 they received first prize in the Sylvia Cleaver Chamber Music competition and were also awarded The Derek Young Memorial Award. They have performed for music clubs across the country as well as performing in France and Spain. In 2007 they received the Elgar Award.
This is one of the most sought after quartets in the Midlands and have extensive experience of playing at weddings and functions. They also work with professional orchestras (BBC, WNO, ESO) and have performed on luxury cruise ships. Apart from their classical work, members of the quartet have also performed on TV, Film and Pop recordings.
Cordicelle have a wide ranging repertoire, from Bach to Coldplay and Mozart to Frank Sinatra.
Cordicelle frequently work with other artists. The ensemble have previously worked with Christine, a superb classically trained vocalist and performed such master pieces as Bach-Gounod Ave Maria, Schuberts Ave Maria, Gershwins Summertime, Fields of Gold, Faure Pie Jesu as well as numerous other beautiful Hymns (some simple audio samples of Christines vocals are available below).

Euphoria studied the Concert and celtic harp at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with Sanchia Pielou, a founder member and principal harpist with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra for fifty years and regarded as the “doyen” of the harp in Scotland. After winning the subject prize for harp and earning a glowing report in the Governors’ Recital Competition, she graduated in 1984 with a BA in Music Performance.
